A limited company may not always be the best option for you. In some cases the question
of whether to contract through a limited company or not is a purely financial one.
For instance, if you earn less than £17,000 gross (before tax) per year a limited
company will probably not be the best option for you.
There are however other factors to consider as well. For instance, your recruitment
agent may not allow you to contract through a limited company. Or you may feel that the increase
in 'take home' income is not worth the extra 5 to 10 minutes of effort you’ll have to
put in on a weekly or monthly basis.

note however that VAT registration can take some time, so if you’re planning
to contract for less than three months it will not be worth it to register
